There are several ways to quickly create assignment lists of interactive activities. You can use any of the following methods to assign activities to your students:
  • From your activity list.
  • From the activity detail view.
  • From the Student Profile page.

Note: You cannot assign activities to archived students.

Assign Activities From Your Activity List

The quickest way to assign activities is from your activity list.

1.  Select My Boardmaker. Your activity list, under the My Activities tab, will open by default.

Note:  Select the title of a folder or the folder icon to open any folder and display the activities inside.

2.  When you find an activity you want to assign, select the Assign Activity button (circled in the illustration above). The Assign To dialog will open, listing all of your students.

Note:  The bubble above the Assign Activity button will indicate how many students have been assigned the activity.

3.  Select the check boxes for the students to whom you want to assign the activity.

Shortcut:  Select the check box at the top of the column to assign the activity to all of the students on the list.

4.  Continue with steps 2 and 3 to assign more activities.

The activities you have assigned will be added to the students’ assignment lists.

Assign Activities From the Activity Detail View

When you select an activity file’s title or thumbnail - either from your activity list or from the results of a search, the activity detail view will open. You can assign a single activity to multiple students - or to an individual student - from the activity detail view.

1.  Select a file’s title or thumbnail. The activity detail view will open.

2.  Click the Assign Activity button (circled in the illustration above). The Assign To dialog will open.

Note:  The bubble above the Assign Activity button will indicate how many students have been assigned the activity.

3.  Select the check boxes for the students to whom you want to assign the activity.

Shortcut:  Select the check box at the top of the column to assign the activity to all of the students on the list.

4.  Select Assign.

Assign Activities from the Student Profile Page:

You can quickly assign activities to an individual student from the Student Profile page:

1.  Select Students > Student Management.

2.  Select the Student ID link of the student to whom you want to assign activities. The Student Profile page will open.

3. Select Manage Assignments. The Add Assignment dialog will open. All of the folders and activities in your activity list will be displayed.

Note:  Select a folder icon to open the folder and display the activities contained within it.

4.  Scroll through your activity list to find activities you want to assign to the student. (Use the Keyword Search text box to help you quickly find activities.)

5.  When you find an activity you want to assign to the student, select either the Supported Mode or Independent Mode radio button:
  • Supported mode - The student receives feedback as to correct and incorrect answers while the activity is being played.
  • Independent mode - The student will not receive any feedback until the activity has been completed.
6.   Select the Assign Activity button (circled in the illustration above).

7.  Repeat steps 3 through 5 above to continue assigning activities to the student.

8.  When you have finished assigning activities, select Close. You will be returned to the Student Profile page, and the activities will appear in the student’s assignment list.
