Using the Spray Tool

Please note this article only applies to Personal, Professional, and District subscription accounts.

Use the Spray Tool  to spray out copies of a selected object to form a rectangular grid. This is very useful if you want to quickly populate a page (or a group box, group button, or tab pane) with a number of identical objects. You can spray out a grid from any type of object on a page.

1.  Select the Spray Tool in the Toolbar.

2.  Move the Spray Tool over the object you want to duplicate.

3.  Click and drag diagonally to spray out a rectangular grid of identical objects.

4.  Release the selection when the grid is the size you want.

Shortcut:  You can reposition the entire grid on the page while all of its objects are still selected.

Note:  If you have assigned properties to the object (content, symbol, style, actions, etc.), the object’s properties will be duplicated when you create the grid of objects.
